CBM-Nepal is established with the mission of carrying out different Buddhist and social activities in different needy communities of Nepal in order to support people improve their living standard as well as create communal bond and mutual cooperation with and among community people belonging to diverse cultural practices. As a supporter of universal peace and humanitarian development, CBM-Nepal also conducts awareness programs and advocates for world peace, human rights, social justices, equality, environmental conservation, and many other issues of human concern.
Established on the Vesak Day of May 2000 AD under the leadership and guidance of Venerable Tapassi Dhamma Thero, the chief Abbot of Charumati Buddha Vihara, CBM-Nepal has been supporting rural and semi-urban communities of Nepal and their deprived individuals to improve their living standard, providing educational access to underprivileged children, offering immediate relief and rehabilitation support to disaster-affected people, promoting Buddhist universal humanitarian ideology to name a few. Protection and promotion of ancient Buddhist heritages in this land of Lord Buddha's birth place in Nepal, especially in the culturally and archeologically rich valley of Kathmandu is another objective of this mission. Ven. Tapassi Dhamma is the founder-president of CBM-Nepal. CBM-Nepal is now formally registered as a company under Company Registrar's Office under Nepal Government.
